Why does the subtitle look tiny or disproportionately huge in Aegisub or VLC?

ASS subtitle font sizes are scaled relative to the PlayResX and PlayResY coordinate system in [Script Info]. AllSubConverter sets a modern full HD standard (PlayResX: 1920, PlayResY: 1080). If you are playing on 4K or 720p footage, modern libass engines auto-scale the fonts cleanly.
